// 1.2 changes
List of fixes:

-issue with assaulting treasuries when autocombat was turned on
-issue which could occur when NPC captain attacked the player
-rebalanced some technologies

// 1.1 changes

Note: Save game files from previous version will not work after installing the patch.

List of fixes:
-added multiplayer feature.
-issue with wrong building requirements being shown on the construction screen
-issue with quick combat option not working properly
-issue with main menu options resetting on their own
-issue with captain jumping from one station directly to another
-issue with some technologies not working properly
-numerous stability issues
-issue with ships going around bariers in battle arenas with stations
-issue with close range ships attacking over long distances
-numerous performance issues
-issue with "dummy" ships appearing in stations
-issue with ships not appearing in battle arenas
-fixed map: Face to face with apocalypse
-issue with some encounters being invisible on the game map
-fixed map: Once more into the breach
-issue with captain occupying a slot after his defeat
-fixed some text errors in technology descriptions
-issue with some structures on the game map not working properly
-issue with Fighter guild not working properly
-issue with wrong ships flying around on the station screen
-issue with fog reappearing after loading
-issue with captain being duplicated after loading
-issue with path disappearing after ending the turn
-issue with some encounters remaining on the game map after being defeated
-issue with producing infinite number of ships

So, those are supposed to be fixed, but still game's crashing after couple of minutes... why they didn't put this patch in public beta test before releasing it?
Now it seems like they did pointless work over a month!

Lets wait a couple of days until some more users have tried it.

I have installed the patch and the resolution is still stuck at 1024x768 or whatever it is,
you cannot move around the screen with the cursor keys which it tells you to do in the tutorial
and I still cannot edit the config file to change the settings (although this is Vista and not the game I thought that I would rant about it anyway).

Are there any news whats planned next for SF:Captains? What will be in a possible next patch? (I dont dare to ask when it will be ready.)
Of course i´m hoping for some gameplay improvements from the suggestions thread.

Sure, first priority should be a playable game at all.
For me it is, at least the beginning, but there seem to be numerous users who cant play it obviously.

the patch is of no help, the game still crashes... really, whats the point?! it really goes to show that us croats are really good when it comes to ideas but when it comes to execution we really show everybody how to fail in style...

In the forth mission, of first campaign, the main captain can't up level after 15. He can't gain experience. Why is that?

Found bug when conquering the city in the lower left (with preset cam angle) part of the map.
I defeated the guarding army and entered the city. There i could not press any button, not even the "exit"-arrow worked.
Had to ALT-F4 out of the game.
Sad, so sad...

And another one while trying the same fight again: one enemy ship wasn´t destroyable, i just could not click on it to attack it.

They are probably working on it in parallel with the Croatian release (scheduled for February, 27th).

When reporting bugs, please submit the game's log file (report.txt) located in the game directory. Send the file to: captains@provox.hr

This patch still didn't fix the problem with the graphics disappearing, which I suspect is a directx 10 issue. The game probably doesn't automatically switch to directx9c when you are using directX10.  Also, even if you install this with admin privileges, in Vista it still doesn't allow you to save the log file unless you run the game in admin mode too.

The game seems to work ok in Windows XP but after playing it for a long time the textures start to degrade. I think its because of a memory leak somewhere. Also, on rare occasions when you hire a new captain, your current captain's fleet gets overwritten by the new captain's fleet and they both end up with the same ships.

As I mentioned, right click on the game exe and run in administrator mode when you first start the game. It will then be able to create the log. Alternatively you can find where Vista is storing the default log file, and set the permissions on that directory so the game can write to it. If the game is freezing up most likely it is that. I was able to run the game in Vista the only problem I had was the graphics, the game ran just fine otherwise.
